About Serena
Born in England and raised in Toronto, Serena has always had a passion for art. Animations like The Last Unicorn, Plague Dogs, Soviet-era animations, and classic NFB films have been especially influential to her style and career. Serena completed her BFA in Film Animation at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada in 2019.
While taking a gap year during university she worked for Andrian Fisher Design, the world's leading maze design firm, where she created concept art and pitch documents for clients.
That following year she did animations for KidZania, a chain of educational miniature cities for kids to roleplay careers. She produced and animated a short film to play before their upcoming attraction.

During her final year at university, she worked for CURC Interactive Design on I Am the Blues VR. The project had a focus on historical preservation and allowed viewers to visit the historical Blue Front Café in virtual reality and meet some of the most influential Mississippi Delta Blues musicians still alive today.
Since graduating she has worked on the feature film Ville Neuve and has been doing artwork for independent video games as well as Montreal musicians.
Her animation programs of choice are Autodesk Maya and TVPaint Pro.
Other programs include the Adobe Suite including Photoshop, After Effects and Premiere Pro, as well as Substance Painter and Designer for modeling work.
